  • Behati Prinsloo

Even when a judge leaves The Voice, they still stick around. Just ask Blake. During the March 7 episode, the country singer turned around for Brittany Kennell, whose voice was a dead ringer for Gwen Stefani, 46. Though Gwen gave her chair to Christina Aguilera, 35, this season, it seems that she’s still part of a show. Does that mean when Adam reportedly quits, there will be Maroon 5 doppelgangers making the cut?

Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo are reportedly expecting their first child together! The 26-year-old Victoria’s Secret model is apparently about three to four months pregnant, Us Weekly reports, and the 36-year-old Maroon 5 singer is “over the moon” about the news! The couple were married in July of 2014 and have revealed in the past that they are eager to start a family. “I want to have 100 kids. I want to have more kids than would be socially responsible,” Adam said to Ryan Seacrest in an interview a few years ago. We have reached out to reps for comment, but have not received a response.

Now I play at my local county club and feel very fancy!” Levine was a celebrity student in a season of the Golf Channel's Haney Project and their Instagram followers know that the couple loves working on their golf skills together.

But while you may still be recovering from the fact that your dreams of actually dating Adam have gone out the window, you have to admit that the couple's romance is pretty damn cute. Discovered by Storm's owner, Sarah Doukas (who found Kate Moss), Behati is most certainly a model on the rise. Her beauty, equally matched by an effervescent personality, appeals to the whole spectrum of clients from Prada to Victoria's Secret.

Prinsloo was born in Grootfontein, South-West Africa (now Namibia) where her father, Boet, is a church minister, and her mother, Magda, runs a bed and breakfast. She grew up speaking Afrikaans and was educated in English.

When asked how her long distance relationship works, Behati said, “Just not overthinking it. We call each other every night and we FaceTime… that’s such a huge thing, I think that’s helped everyone in the world.”

Lara Stone, Joan Smalls, and Behati Prinsloo also made an appearance on Versace‘s runway that day. Sitting in the front row was Rita Ora who was hard to miss wearing one of the looks from this season’s show.

The Namibian stunner walked the runway at Atelier Versace in a floor sweeping gown that took our breath away. Clad in all white, the dress had a dangerously low plunging neckline, a waist-high slit and and figure flattering wrap silhouette.

What’s it like to party with Rihanna and a bunch of Victoria’s Secret models? Bad gal Rihanna worked the runway alongside Prinsloo during the 2012 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, and Prinsloo will never forget partying with the superstar after the show. "She doesn’t give a What! She’s so nice and fun to hangout with, she wanted to be with us, she wasn’t intimidated,” she says. Prinsloo, admitted that the singer is her celebrity girl crush. "It’s about the attitude too, she’s got it all.” Even Victoria’s Secret models can get body envy.

“We’re definitely going to do it," the “Sugar” singer said at the time during a KIIS FM radio interview with Ryan Seacrest, before joking, "I want to have 100 kids. I want to have more kids than would be socially responsible.”

Chrissy Teigen arrives alongside fellow Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model Samantha Hoopes on Friday (February 19) at LAX airport in Los Angeles. The 30-year-old model tweeted a goodbye message to former presidential hopeful Jeb Bush after he dropped out of the race the next day. “I will miss Jeb! and his constant confusion,” she wrote.” I believe he has a good heart. But that may just be his constant look of confusion.” Also pictured inside: Model Behati Prinsloo arriving at LAX that same day. I will miss Jeb! and his constant confusion. The glamazon dished that she is trying to transition to domestic life — by cooking meals for her and her hubby. “I have a friend who’s a chef and she showed me a few things, I would like to get better at that, but usually it’s takeout,” she admits, but don’t expect to see the South African native spending hours in kitchen sweating over an elaborate menu. “I make pasta, the simple things.”

As Us Weekly previously reported, the pair began dating in June 2012 and made their official red carpet debut as a couple the following October at the GQ Gentlemen's Ball in NYC. Two years later, they tied the knot.

The show is ending after fifteen years, but its final season premiere pulled in disappointing ratings, according to The Wrap. Maybe Adam wants to go out on top? But after he reportedly says good-bye, Adam might come back, as the source says he’s “open to revisiting the show in a couple of years as a mentor.”

  • Priyanka Chopra

Right, including me with this question, being like, “Are you feeling it?” No, but it’s true. For me, there was never going to be any other way to make an international foray, I was very clear about it. If I wasn’t doing this in America, I would have done it in Australia, or anywhere. is just an extension of what I want to do. This is my step forward in trying to do something new. I don’t know, I’m excited about it. It’s a new world for me, a new culture for me. I want to be true to who I am. I think that’s the difference between doing Miss World then and doing this now is that at that time, I felt like I was a kid, and I needed to be what the world wanted to see me as, and now I feel like my flaws are what make me unique. I think the 30s did that to me.

Chopra's first film of 2012 was Karan Malhotra's action drama Agneepath, in which she starred with Hrithik Roshan, Sanjay Dutt and Rishi Kapoor. Produced by Karan Johar, the film is a remake of his father's 1990 production of the same name. In one of several accidents to happen during production, Chopra's lehenga (a traditional skirt) caught fire while filming a sequence for an elaborate Ganpati festival song. She featured as Kaali Gawde, Roshan's loquacious love interest in the film. Mayank Shekhar noted how much Chopra stood out in the male-dominated film. Agneepath broke Bollywood's highest opening-day earnings record, and had a worldwide gross of ₹1.93 billion (US$28 million). Chopra next co-starred with Shahid Kapoor in Kunal Kohli's romance, Teri Meri Kahaani. The film relates the stories of three unconnected couples (each played by Kapoor and Chopra), born in different eras. The film opened to mixed reactions from critics, but Chopra's performance was generally well received.

She next starred opposite Arjun Rampal in the romantic mystery thriller Yakeen, portraying the role of a possessive lover Simar Oberoi. Critical reaction towards the film was mixed, but her performance received praise. Taran Adarsh wrote that Chopra "is bound to win laurels yet again the actor is emerging as one of the finest talents in these fast-changing times". Her next release was Suneel Darshan's romance Barsaat, co-starring Bobby Deol and Bipasha Basu. The film was a critical and commercial failure in India but fared better in the overseas market. Chopra's performance received mixed reviews, with Bollywood Hungama describing it as "mechanical". However, Rediff.com considered Chopra to be an "epitome of calm intelligence, who underplayed her role to perfection". Later that year, Rohan Sippy cast her with Abhishek Bachchan, Ritesh Deshmukh and Nana Patekar in the comedy Bluffmaster! Chopra played independent working woman Simran Saxena, Bachchan's love interest. The film proved to be a box-office success.

Speaking of Alex, tell me more about your character. What’s special about her? They’ve written Alex as a female Jason Bourne. She’s as smart as that, but she is also vulnerable and soft. I didn’t want to make Alex extremely macho, I wanted to celebrate femininity. You can be an absolute woman and also be smart and tough and not lose your femininity. I also love that in the show, Alex treats boys the way boys usually treat girls, as dispensable. She has no place for them in her life.

Priyanka Chopra is charismatic but diplomatic; you feel that she’s paying careful attention to you even when she’s the one talking. Her manager calls this “an international swag,” while the head of casting at ABC calls it “star quality.” It’s there in Quantico, too, with Chopra playing Alex Parrish, an F.B.I. recruit whose “I’m better than anyone else” confidence leads Chopra to call her “a female Jason Bourne.” The pilot, which airs on ABC Sunday night, is promising, part “spies go to college” flashbacks and part suspenseful fugitive story with a meaningful subversion: a brown woman on the run to clear her name after being wrongly accused of terrorism. This wasn’t exactly the case when Chopra, a former Miss World and major Bollywood star, first received the script. “Alex could’ve been from any country actually. She could’ve been Yugoslavian, British, she could’ve been of any race, and that’s the beauty of this–it’s ethnically ambiguous.” She does clarify–and the pilot makes it clear–that the character is half Indian and half white American. “The beauty of Alex is that she’s someone little girls can look up to and say,‘Hey, that’s a cool part.’” Chopra is no stranger to Quantico’s fight sequences (she points out “war scars” from her role as the titular boxer in the biopic Mary Kom), but she’s more excited for the spy craft. “Picking up things from somewhere, figuring out clues . . . she’s really good at that.” I point out that most of those “deductive” roles tend to be rich white men, like Sherlock or House. She grins and gestures to herself. “Well, I’m not a rich white dude at any angle!” “When I was in school, you never saw anyone who looked like us that was on TV.”Twitter Chopra was born in India and moved to Boston at age 13, living with her aunt and uncle. “When I was in school, you never saw anyone who looked like us that was on TV,” she says. “And that was really weird for me because there’s so many people of South Asian descent in America–in the world.” Chopra returned to India for her senior year of high school, partly due to problems with bullying, and predicts that if she hadn’t, she would have become an aeronautical engineer. Instead, she became Miss India and eventually Miss World. “I think helped me do that,” Chopra says. Chopra is the one and only client of manager Anjula Acharia-Bath, who founded Desi Hits to connect South Asian musicians with Hollywood producers. Acharia-Bath, who recalls growing up in the U.K. and seeing few South Asians on TV, calls Chopra her “passion project”; she advised ABC’s casting exec Keli Lee to fly to Mumbai and persuade Chopra to meet with her. It wasn’t exactly an easy sell—Chopra is excited about the chance to be a South Asian face on American television, but not necessarily American stardom. “I didn’t have like this ‘I want to make it in America’ kind of thing,” she explains. “I just wanted to expand my horizons. I didn’t need to do anything unless it happened to be the right thing.” She made this clear to Lee. “So I told her, the only way I would do it is if you find me a show and a path which first will put me in the same position that I am in India.” By Craig Sjodin/Courtesy of ABC Lee, like Acharia-Bath and Chopra, spent her childhood looking in vain for her own face reflected on TV. “I’m a Korean immigrant. My family came here when I was two years old. I think this is why we all connected on such a personal level,” she says. “That we want to watch television to see stories about people that look like us, so that we can relate.” Lee is the brains behind getting Sandra Oh on Grey’s Anatomy, Sofía Vergara in Modern Family, and Kerry Washington in Scandal. She also directed the ABC Talent Showcase program, where selected actors and actresses can show off their talents to industry professionals, which gifted the world talent such as Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o and Golden Globe winner Gina Rodriguez. Thanks to Bollywood’s global reach, Chopra is a household name not only in India, but throughout the world. She isn’t the first Bollywood star to be featured in a Hollywood production—from Tina Desai in Sense8 to Anupam Kher in Silver Linings Playbook, many artists have made the crossover. Nor is Chopra the first international star whom Lee has helped make her Hollywood debut. “We’ve been hiring talent around the world,” Lee says. “It’s a very important initiative. For me personally, it’s about being diverse. Wherever the best talent is, I want to put them on to ABC shows.” With movie markets in China, Japan, South Korea, and India exploding, Hollywood productions are including more and more East and South Asian movie stars. “We’re hoping we will have so many viewers around the world to watch the show,” Lee says. “And watch her in it.” Usually, when international stars get cast in Hollywood productions, they tend to have only a couple scenes, the bare minimum to reach the audiences who recognize them. South Korean star Lee Byung-Hun was in this summer’s Terminator Genisys for all of 10 minutes, and the film still opened at the top of the South Korean box office this summer. (Here in the States, it was a high-profile flop.) Chopra and Lee were both eager to avoid that. “I d want to be this stereotype of what Indian people are usually seen as in global pop culture, you know?” Chopra says. “We don’t just have to be Apu from The Simpsons.” Despite her ambassadorial air, when it comes to the big public events that come with the TV-star territory, Chopra confesses she feels like she’s the new kid in high school all over again. Luckily, she’s already found some support among her ABC classmates. “For some strange, amazing reason, Kerry Washington has been really supportive of me, before we even met. I told her last night on the carpet, ‘I don’t think I can do it! It’s crazy!’ And she was like, ‘You can do it! Just call me!’”

But while she may be new to Hollywood, Chopra is not new to the US. She was born in India to parents who were military doctors. “Every few years we moved to different locations,” she recalls. When she was 12 she went to Iowa – at her own wish. She was curious about how her American cousins were schooled, and her parents agreed to let her study with her extended family. But she was the target of racist comments. “I was the only Indian kid in my school in Iowa. Later I lived in Queens, New York and Newton, Massachusetts, and in high school I was bullied really badly.” Children would call her “brownie” and “curry” and tell her to go back to her own country. “It was supremely scary,” she says. “I would avoid going to the cafeteria and eat in the bathroom instead.”

Destiny and fate come up a lot in our conversation. They hint at her two sides – one which feels her success is a happy accident, the other which is calculating and determined. She has, she says, always been driven. “After I won Miss India I realised I do not like failing. I just like being the best. I hate being a loser. So I just have to keep winning,” she smiles.

So Fallon and Chopra squared off over a plate of nuclear chicken wings, to see who could eat the most in 20 seconds. Chopra also equipped herself with “Tabasco sauce in case that’s not enough and I have milk in case that’s too much.” Although they both did a lot of posturing beforehand, the contest was difficult for both Fallon and Chopra. Chopra was shaking as she ate her wings, and Fallon couldn’t even eat more than one.

  • Esperanza Spalding‬‬

Esperanza Spalding: Joni Mitchell has been a major source of inspiration in my life, I think that's great that you hear that in the music. Joni Mitchell is a profound example of so many things. Particularly one of them is individuality and really exploring what she hears, not worrying about what category it falls into. I know everything has to have a category once it's put onto iTunes. Her music is very hard to characterize because it doesn't want to be.

    Esperanza Spalding Announces World Tour

PitchforkMar 4, 2016 86 The lyrics are elusive at first, darting behind fast-moving songs and delivered in impressionistic, conversational bursts that recall the delivery of Joni Mitchell. But the fearless generosity behind them communicates itself loud and clear, and it's a spirit that animates the entire album. With it, Spalding has once again redefined an already singular career, dictating a vision entirely on her own terms.

Esperanza (Esperanza Spalding album) - Wikipedia, the free ...

Well, I'll put it like this. I was talking to my mom about education, about teachers. My mom taught briefly. I think it's such an incredible talent, and a generous and compassionate field. She was telling me this story — after the song was already written, so I felt like I had intuitively hit on something important — about a woman in the '70s or '80s who had developed a curriculum that was based on art and creativity. The woman is summing up what she had learned from this experience of working with troubled kids and watching them really flourish with an arts-based curriculum. She said what she'd observed in these little kids that she thinks is universal to all people is that there's this vibrant life force, this powerful energy, just boiling and burbling and flowing in every person. It's got to get out, expressed, like pressure, like lava in a mountain. It can be a destructive release — or it can be a constructive release. As she opened and made way for the creative vent, the destructive vent tended to atrophy. Conversely, without that creative outlet, the creative vent will atrophy, and the only way for that energy to get out is through the destructive vent. But it has to be given the release. It's not like that'll just happen. It's a conscious decision to welcome that force — to welcome it and allow it to flow and do what it does. And that was so affirming. I experience that too — I do feel this energy inside, and I always have. That's one way of looking at "Good Lava."

ES: I started thinking about this probably in October of 2013. October 17th to be exact. I was playing bass with people on other people's projects. Privately, I don't think I realized that I was kind of frustrated. The music was incredible and rich and nourishing, and I was learning so much, practicing a lot and getting stretched. There was some other aspect that was frustrated.

Esperanza Spalding: Why Jazz Isn't Mainstream, Benefits of Being Hot

As for the name of the project, Spalding explained: “Emily is my middle name, and I’m using this fresh persona as my inner navigator. This project is about going back and reclaiming un-cultivated curiosity, and using it as a compass to move forward and expand.

Her debut album, Junjo, was released on April 18, 2006, on the Ayva Music label. It was created to display the dynamic that she felt among her trio. Though Junjo was released solely under her name, Spalding considers it "a collaborative effort."

That's also part of the motto, I would say, of Emily. That's part of what she comes to say: "It is okay to explore this." Creativity is a magic ingredient you can find to harness whatever it is that's bursting out of you. You can't push that back inside. The energy is there. Creativity is the tool that we all are endowed with. It's like a muscle that you can practice. That lava has to come out. The question is what do you do with it?

I thought that it was just luck that allowed me to be a band leader. I didn't know that it really was coming out of this need to have my own project or say my own things or whatever. Anyway, this is all hindsight analysis of course. At the time I just couldn't sleep one night. It was between two gigs on this tour with another band. I saw this person performing. Not like a hallucination but like a waking dream, where you are just picturing it in your mind's eye. I heard this sound and I saw the people moving in the stage. I thought, "Oh that sounds cool." I liked the energy of the music. I liked the shape of the melodies. I knew the person in the middle was me, and it wasn't like I was seeing somebody else.

UncutMar 2, 2016 80 The varied works of this Portland-born bassist and singer have suggested a giant talent that spills out of jazz into Brazil, R&B, music theatre and even thrash metal. This semi-autobiographical concept album pushes her deep into art-rock territory.

"I think that the best answer to that question of 'What do you do?' is, you get creative with the tools that you've got. I'm excited by that skill and the fruits of that intention — of that decision." The idea is central to Esperanza Emily's D+Evolution. (The album opener, "Good Lava," and its video are premiered above.)

"Devolution burns inside me," sings Esperanza Spalding on "One," a track from her upcoming album, Emily's D+Evolution. She's playing with the idea of a "modern mind" being afflicted by a "primal urge," and more broadly about how, sometimes, great strides in our development are inspired by less-enlightened versions of ourselves.

I first encountered Esperanza Spalding much like the rest of the world did: at the Grammy Awards in 2011. She had some stiff competition against my future boyfriends —Drake and Justin Bieber — and then-favorite bands Florence + the Machine and Mumford & Sons. It seemed like everyone thought one of the others would win, but it was the underdog (to pop fans, at least) Spalding who took the trophy home and also became the first jazz artist to do so in that category.

BS: Sometimes the beauty of being a child is that when you're not good at things, you still love them and have fun. You move without the inhibition of thinking about them and as you get older, the fact that you weren't special at that thing you loved means you cannot or won't pursue it. Was a lack of inhibition an element of Emily for you?

I knew it was loud, and I knew it was electric. I knew when it wasn't done, and I knew when it was. Beyond that, there wasn't much of a plan. I sought out those musicians, and talked about what we wanted to convey or achieve — energetically, or the story, or the arc of the song. Fortunately the musicians were so adventurous and open and masterful that I think we were able to do something that really honors Emily's aesthetic.

On the other hand, I never signed any contracts, fortunately, with anybody of what I was going to do or not do. That's just some bullshit ego stuff of wanting to be liked all the time. I like to be liked. With this, there's a lot of false starts where people go like, "Huh? Why?" I guess that's difficult when you're doing something for the first time and there are not very many affirmations along the way. You just keep going because it's important to you.

The irony of this little episode is that Spalding never seemed to crave mainstream validation in the first place. She has established herself as an understated force in contemporary jazz and soul, skillfully walking the line between genres—just her and a trusty upright bass—crafting art that resonates with the older guard while maintaining a youthful exuberance. She’s performed for the Obamas at the White House and, in the summer of 2011, I saw her perform at the Roots Picnic in Philadelphia, Pa. There, she put fluid spins on Michael Jackson’s "I Can’t Help It" and the Weather Report’s "Predator," playing electric bass with ?uestlove on drums. No matter where she plays, she projects the sort of self-contained ease that suggests she'd be equally content to play the local open mic. Following the release of 2012’s Radio Music Society, Spalding retreated to her native Portland, Ore., to de-stress from music industry pressures. She took two years off to reconnect with her creative voice and regain some form of sanity.

For the bassist and singer whose recordings heretofore have been overtly tinged by her jazz background, it's a markedly different sound. It's certainly not that Spalding has left her jazz practice behind — when reached on the phone, she was in the middle of a week-long run with the ACS Trio, also featuring Geri Allen on piano and Terri Lyne Carrington on drums. But at the core of Emily's D+Evolution is a different kind of trio — the rock 'n' roll power trio instrumentation of Spalding on electric bass and lead vocal, Matthew Stevens on guitar and either Justin Tyson or Karriem Riggins on drums.

It was heartbreaking to license that place, to say the least. I decently experience like we left a piece of our band there as we were being rent away from it. The perfect unity of spirit, and nothing, and music is something that only comes around so often and in certain circumstances. When you feel it coming on, you have to take hold of it. That place and those relations made it possible for our band to take one, big final breath before the curtain closes. Thankfully, we have evidence of this in these songs that we’re gift to you today. Thank you, Saint Cecilia. You made us feel right at abode.

For most of its history, the fetter chose to stay away from the political land. However, in 2004, upon learning that George W. Bush's presidential campaign was second-hand "Times Like These" at deride, Grohl decided to lend his public support to John Kerry's campaign - "There’s no way of stopping the president playing your songs, so I went out and played it for John Kerry’s people instead, where I thought the communication would kinda make more sense". Grohl attended several Kerry rallies and occasionally performed solo acoustic plant. The entire fetter eventually joined Grohl for a performance in Arizona coinciding with one of the presidential debates.

On June 12, 2015, Grohl fell from a coöperate stage in Gothenburg, Sweden during the second verse of the Foo Fighters' set. The band played without Grohl while he received medical attention, and Grohl then returned to the stage, session in a chairman to do the last two hours of the band's set while a medical tended to his blackleg. After the concert, Grohl was flown to London for surgery, where doctors inserted six metal pins into his leg. As a result of Grohl's injury, on June 16 the band announced it was cancelling all of its await European tour dates.

In September 2011, before a show in Kansas City, the band performed a counter-protest parody song in front of a testify by the Westboro Baptist Church. The song deride the church's opposition to homosexuality, and was performed in the same faux-trucker deck that was skilled in the band's "Hot Buns" promotional video.

And so we trudged on. Any fatigue was met with an explosion of strength once the portière went up. Any pain was met with the adrenaline of thousands of voices singing along. Every one of you kept us alive for a while there. One night, at a point where I felt likely I was at the end of my rope, it came to me that these few hours we have together every concealment were something like a strong blanket to seclusion under. I could always confide on our season together to get me to the next stop. Again, and again. From Chicago to Cesena.

In August 2010, the band began recording their seventh studio album with producer Butch Vig, who had previously gain the two new tracks for the band's Greatest Hits album. The album was recorded in Dave Grohl's garage using only analog equipment. The album won five Grammys and was nominated for six. The recording was analog to tape and used no computers, not even to mix or master. Vig said in an interview with MTV that the album was entirely analog until post-mastering. Pat Smear was present in many photos posted by Grohl on Twitter and a press release in December confirmed Smear played on every track on the album and was examine a random access memory member of the tie once again, having initially left as a full-time penis in 1997 before returning as a touring guitarist in 2006.

Grohl hoped to keep his anonymousness and release the recordings in a limited run under the denomination "Foo Fighters", taken from the World War II limit "foo fighter", used to refer to unidentified flying objects. However, the demo tape circulated in the music labor, creating interest among enroll labels. Grohl formed a band to support the album. Initially, he talked to former Nirvana band mate Krist Novoselic about joining the group, but both decided against it. "For Krist and I, it would have pelt really natural and really great", Grohl explained. "But for everyone else, it would have been weird, and it would have left me in a really bad position. Then I really would have been under the microscope." Having heard about the disbanding of Seattle-supported rock belt Sunny Day Real Estate, Grohl detach the group's thorough-base player, Nate Mendel, and peddler, William Goldsmith. Grohl asked Pat Smear, who assist as a touring guitarist for Nirvana after the release of its 1993 album, In Utero, to combine as the group's second guitarist. Shiflett initially joined the band as touring guitarist, but achieved full-time condition previous to the recording of the block's fourth album.

Yesterday, New York Post’s Page Six reported news of the security’s impending “break.” The story noted that frontman Dave Grohl would be pursuing a solo extend, “and is pissed about it.” A deputy for Foo Fighters called the story “utterly willy nilly,” but nevertheless, the unite pelt compelled to make a major announcement on Wednesday night.

To all who were affected by the atrocities in Paris, loved ones and friends, our hearts go out to you and your families. We will return and celebrate life and love with you once again someday with our music. As it should be done.

On November 23, 2015, a surprise release following a month long countdown clock on the Foo Fighters' website communicate the free extended play Saint Cecilia. The EP characteristic a song that is over twenty ages obsolete and has cleft from albums that were never released. The album was paired with a letter from Dave Grohl announcing the band's indefinite break and addressing their mourning over the November 2015 Paris assail. The EP was completely recorded in the Saint Cecilia hotel in Austin, Texas.

The members of Foo Fighters mix melodic elements with heavier ones. Grohl noted in 1997, "We all friendship music, whether it's the Beatles or Queen or punk rock. I think the lure of punk cliff was the energy and immediacy; the need to thrash stuff around. But at the same time, we're all suckers for a beautiful melody, you know? So it is just regular." Grohl said in 2005, "I love being in a rock unite, but I don't know if I necessarily wanna be in an alternative support band from the 1990s for the rest of my life." Grohl noted that the band's acoustic tour was an endeavor to enlarge the group's sound.

On November 3, 2009, the band released a compilation album, Greatest Hits, which characteristic two novel songs, "Word Forward" and the single "Wheels". These songs were attestation during a session which happen between "Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace" and "Wasting Light" coming out. In arrangement to forward their greatest hits album, Foo Fighters transact a show at studio 606 in October 2009 (which was broadcast online), during which the unite took quintain requests.

After circuit through the spring of 1996, Foo Fighters entered Bear Creek Studio in Woodinville, Washington, with producer Gil Norton to record its inferior album. While Grohl once again wrote all the songs, the rest of the band collaborated on the arrangements. With the sessions nearly complete, Grohl took the uncivil mixes with him to Los Angeles, intending to finish up his vocal and guitar parts. While there, Grohl realized that he was not happy with how the medley were dissuasion out, and changed William Goldsmith's "drum tracks with his own for all but two songs." During the L.A. sessions, Grohl had played drums on the songs. Unhappy with Goldsmith's drumming, Grohl removed it from the recordings and re-recorded the rout tracks. As Goldsmith was about to come down to L.A. to find out why he wasn't being called upon to re-record his ability, he called Mendel from Seattle inquiring if he should make the trip. Grohl then called Goldsmith saying, "Dude, don't come down here, I'm recording some of the drum tracks". Shocked by this, Goldsmith met up with Mendel in Seattle and repeated Grohl's claim to be re-recording "some" of the tracks. Mendel crave, "Is that what he told you?"; Goldsmith affirmed it, and Mendel settled, "No, man, he did them all".

Near the end of 2001, the band reconvened to repeat its ¼ album. After spending four months in a Los Angeles studio completing the album, the album "just didn't safe true" and the band had no confidence in the album to sell many records. With the album not reaching their expectations, and much infighting amongst the members, Grohl spent some time portion Queens of the Stone Age conclude their 2002 album Songs for the Deaf. Once the Queens of the Stone Age album was finished, and touring had started for both Foo Fighters and Queens of the Stone Age, the band was on the verge of breaking up entirely as the animosity grew amongst the members. Grohl reconvened with Hawkins, Shiflett and Mendel to have them play at the Coachella Festival, with Queens of the Stone Age playing one Time and Foo Fighters the following. After the Queens of the Stone Age played, Hawkins and Grohl prate about retrying the One by One album and had comport to finishing it and seeing where they would go from there. The group course and re-recorded nearly all of the album (deliver "Tired of You") in a ten-day stretch at Grohl's home studio in Alexandria, Virginia. The original version of One by One, referred by the band as "Million Dollar Demos", has never been auricular in its entirety, except for snippets which extravasate before the album's premiere, and a few more snippets leaked by a stimulate on the band's website in 2007. Two songs from these sessions were leaked in 2012.

In 1998, Foo Fighters experienced to Grohl's home state of Virginia to paper music for its third album. However, Grohl and Stahl were weak to co-exercise as songwriters; Grohl told Kerrang! in 1999, "in those few weeks it normal seemed probably the three of us were touching in one government and Franz wasn't". Grohl was distraught over the conclusion to fire Stahl, as the two had been wellwisher since childhood. Shortly after that, Mendel called Grohl to say he was quitting the security to reunite with Sunny Day Real Estate, only to reverse his conclusion the next day. The remaining trio of Grohl, Mendel, and Hawkins spent the next several months recording the band's third album, There Is Nothing Left to Lose, in Grohl's Virginia home studio that he bought and built. The album spawned several singles, including "Learn to Fly", the band's first single to reach the US Billboard Hot 100. Other singles included "Stacked Actors","Generator","Next Year" and "Breakout".

Having spent a year and a half touring behind One by One, Grohl did not want to rush into recording another Foo Fighters record. Initially Grohl intended to write acoustic material by himself, but eventually the project involved the entire band. To record its fifth album, the band shifted to Los Angeles and built a recording studio, dress Studio 606 West. Grohl insisted that the album be lobate into two discs–one full of rock songs, the other featuring acoustic tracks. In Your Honor was released in June 2005. The album's singles included "Best of You", "DOA", "Resolve" and "No Way Back/Cold Day in the Sun".

Update: We’ve been had. Foo Fighters are not going on indefinite hiatus, and Dave Grohl is not going solo. The group’s “big announcement” was a asperse mocking the rumors. It’s unclear how Taylor Hawkins’ comments earlier this year are part of the caper or if they are really currently on some kind of hiatus. Maybe it was a repine, yearn con, but in any case, they gotta us. Touché, Foo Fighters.
